Dr. Soumaya Triki received an engineer and Phd degrees in Biological Engineering from the National School of Engineers of Sfax (University of Sfax, Tunisia) in 2006 and 2014, respectively. Her research work is in the field of population genetics and genetic anthropology, and mainly in studying the genetic structure of North African and Middle Eastern populations based on Y as well as ADME genes. She served as an assistant professor of Bioinformatics at the "Institut Supérieur de Biotechnologie de Béja" (2015-2021). Currently she is a researcher in the Centre of Biotechnology of Sfax, Laboratory of Molecular and Cellular Screening Processes. She is the general secretary of the Tunisian Association of Anthropology.
