Kwabena Boateng is Sociology Lecturer at the Department of Sociology and Social Work at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. Kwabena has a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Ghana, Legon and has published articles in numerous journals. He was Visiting Scholar at University of Southern Indiana, where he taught a course on Chieftaincy and Community Development at the Department of World Languages and Cultures. His research interest includes Chieftaincy / Traditional leadership and development, community/rural development and local governance.
